Use total clicks from the same report and date range as the impressions.
Total times the ad, link, email, title, or thumbnail was shown.

How this tool works

CTR shows the percentage of impressions that became clicks. It helps compare how strongly ads, links, titles, thumbnails, or emails attract action.

Formula or template logic

ctr = (clicks / impressions) * 100

Example use case

If 1,200 clicks came from 80,000 impressions, CTR is 1.5%. That is 15 clicks per 1,000 impressions.

Frequently asked questions

What does CTR mean?

CTR means click-through rate. It is clicks divided by impressions, expressed as a percentage.

Is a high CTR always good?

A high CTR is useful, but it should be judged with conversion quality and campaign goals.

Can CTR be used outside ads?

Yes. You can use it for emails, search results, links, thumbnails, or any impression-to-click situation.

Can clicks be higher than impressions?

For a standard CTR calculation, clicks should not be higher than impressions. If they are, check that both numbers use the same reporting basis.

Why do impressions need to be greater than 0?

The formula divides by impressions, so 0 impressions cannot produce a CTR.
